The dream began with digital sketches of a proposed future homesite. At the time, we had no idea where or how our plan would come together. Everything started to take shape once we decided that Georgia would be our final destination. During an internet search, we discovered 7.14 acres of land—and within just two weeks, we had closed on the property. On day one, a bulldozer carved the first path, and our vision began to unfold. We cleared six acres, and soon after decided to dig a pond—not only as a beautiful water feature, but also as a natural source of dirt to build up the land. What began as a half-acre pond quickly expanded into three-quarters of an acre to better meet our needs. With the pond complete, the fill dirt started arriving—over 200 loads and counting! Our original plan was to build a pavilion for family gatherings, but as hotel and travel expenses mounted, we realized that adding living space above the pavilion would be both practical and inspiring. Once the dimensions were set, the design phase moved quickly—because design is where Eye 4 ReDesign thrives. Serving as our own General Contractors, we learned more than we ever imagined. After navigating two contractors and multiple roadblocks, we persevered and ultimately finished the project ourselves. From the concrete slab to the metal roof, every element was chosen with intention. The exterior and interior were thoughtfully customized to fit our family dynamic. Every detail—light fixtures, recessed lighting, cabinets, countertops, doors, fans, faucets, and the furniture, both indoors and outdoors—was carefully selected to bring the vision to life. Now, the Grant Estate stands at the beginning of its story: A vacation home with a lanai, sitting on 7.14 acres with a pond view, entertainment space, and living quarters that feel like home. Though this will one day become our guest home, it will always be treasured as the project that proved — when you “Write the vision and make it plain”, dreams truly can be defined according to His Purpose! We did it “The Grant’s Way!” And this is just the beginning! 🌿💫 Check out the home gallery: https://photos.app.goo.gl/57NPn86kY3cWNvNK8
