It is always a pleasure working with new clients. This is the story of a casual conversation that created a new and future client relationship. These clients were anxiously awaiting the arrival a sofa they selected to begin furnishing their new space. The sofa finally arrived and they paired it with an area rug and coffee table with centerpiece. As they started looking for additional decor they quickly began to feel overwhelmed about what to do next. They had an idea of the look and feel they wanted but could not figure out how to pull it together. I assured them, this is what I hear from most of my clients. After a quick phone consultation, I started selecting items to support their styling needs. We continued virtual touch base meetings to weigh in on new decor selections. Beginning with accent furniture, I selected a cute marble end table that would bring some unique flair to their space. I followed up with the perfect lamp to compliment furniture textures. I added wall art that brought in colors in the room and reflected both of their styling preferences (Abstract with a little bling). The final furniture selection for the room was a comfy accent chair to make the seating area feel complete. Once all of the foundational pieces were in place, I looked for personal touch items that would make their space feel like home. The client's expressed their love of affirmations. As I continued shopping, I quickly found items that spoke to me regarding the couple and what their space represents, phrases like, "You & Me", "Together We Make A Difference, "Love the Journey", "Love Gathers Here" and "Loves Grows Best in Little Houses Like Ours". These little personal touches added personality and warmth to the space. Finally, I had an in-person visit and helped the couple with styling and staging. I offered a few tips on how to define spaces and how to make a space feel welcoming, like facing the barstools in a "come sit on me position" - - Clients smile here 😀! On the kitchen island, I added place settings for dimension and a blue vase with flowers to give the space a pop of color. Lastly, I added wall art to draw eyes to the island area because this space has line of sight from the entryway. I shared my philosophy on how simple elements bring an exclusive look, touch, and feel to a design. After a virtual consultation, shopping and a 30 minute in person design visit this space was transformed into the "Contemporary Nest at Silver Collection" these clients desired!
