Working with Doug and Megen was such a rewarding experience. This project was one of our favorites. A few years ago, Doug recommended Eye 4 ReDesign services to a colleague and friend. That design project sparked the interest of two additional clients. Fast forward to Mother's Day 2022, when Doug surprised his beautiful bride with our design services as a gift. During our initial consultation, we discussed the color scheme and spaces to be designed. We had a follow-up onsite consultation that broadened the scope of work. The final design included the family room, dining room, primary bedroom, two offices, and a carpet stair runner makeover. First on the agenda was to discuss how to scale down some of the existing furniture and where to add complimentary pieces to complete the design. We suggested painting and relocating a floor lamp from the primary bedroom to the family room. We suggested two new side tables to flank the bed to replace the lamp. We needed to upsize the bedside tables to include lamps. We discussed painting the chest of drawers white and removing the dresser/mirror combination from the room. The client’s handy husband decided that restructuring the closet would be a good solution for replacing the dresser. A weekend of work transformed the closet into a mini oasis with plenty of storage and room to spare. With the additional space, E4R added a bench for staging outfits and accessories. We planned a gallery wall over the bench to showcase their wall art. We needed to redesign the space in the family room without making major changes. We recommended removing the existing dark-colored chair and ottoman that expanded into the middle of the space, which caused the room to appear smaller. We decided to replace the chair with a pushback recliner and suggested adding an ottoman table for the center of the room. While the clients could not envision the choices, they decided to trust the process. The design project intended to bring a cohesive flow to the home. The dining room had the perfect foundation and needed a few accessories to pull it together. The stairs needed a refresh. Since the stairs are the focal point when entering the home, we wanted to add something with vibrant colors and warmth to bring positive energy to connect the spaces. For the first office, we needed to cover faux paint and add a color that complimented the room's baseboard, window trim, and furniture. We went with a rich blue that would also complement the wall art and color in the adjacent room. The second office is bright and airy and needed curtain panels with a punch of color to frame the beautiful picture windows. The area rug and a pillow in the office provided inspiration. We used white metal rods and clip rings to finish the look. In the primary bedroom, we wanted to add a light and airy color with a spa-like feel. In keeping with the shore-like vibe of the home, we did a play off the gray color in the upstairs hall. We chose the perfect gray to compliment the white trim and shutters in the bedroom. We called in a premiere painter to get the job done. Paul Hill of Peacock National Painting specializes in dark color, faux painting coverage, and plaster. He and his team provided impeccable results. With procurement completed and delivery dates coordinated, we set a design date. The clients planned a family trip, so they left us a key and started their journey on the family weekend getaway. We arrived on Friday morning with the large furniture items and new accessories. We dedicated the first day to painting the headboard in the primary bedroom and removing and installing the carpet stair runner. Paul returned to paint the headboard, and my husband and I started removing the existing stair carpet, padding, and staples to prep the stairs for a clean slate. After a few hours of sweat equity, we prepped the stairs with new padding and installed the runners in tandem to get a seamless look. On Day 2, we set out to place the new furniture and stage the accessories to complete the flow from room to room. After just a few hours, the house was ready for the Day 3 return and reveal. The clients notified us of their ETA when they were 1 hour away. We were ready and waiting for the big reveal. The family parked in front of their home, eager and ready to see their newly designed spaces. To get the family intrigued before entering the home, we played a family game so everyone could be engaged. We placed words into a bag describing colors, fabrics, textures, accessories, and other key items in the design. Each family member pulled from the bag and announced their words. Some words had the family stumped, while others made perfect sense. The hubby was in the house, ready to capture the family's reaction (see below). As the family walked through the rooms, they spotted items aligned to the words in the "What's in the design" game. This project was fun and refreshing throughout the entire process. We used simple design principles to add continuity throughout the main floor and bedroom. We were over-the-moon pleased with the results and the client's reaction. As always, we paid close attention to detail and added a new level of color, comfort, and functionality to transform this home into a Beach House Retreat in the City. Special thanks to my husband, who is unwavering, relentless, and my rock! He is the best teammate I could ever ask for in this design journey! Every job brings a new skill, and he jumps in and makes it happen to support my vision! I’m so excited to welcome Paul Hill and his team as premiere painting partners of Eye 4 Redesign! Thank you for a professional, detailed, and flawless job! Special thanks to the homeowners for entrusting Eye 4 ReDesign to create new life-inspired spaces in your home. The pictures and videos only tell part of the story (Thanks for providing your consent to share). The love and warmth in your home are infectious! Happy Adulting! This project was a total transformation for the mind, body and spirit. It started with a consultation with the family. The first part of the process was understanding how to make the design appeal to three individual personalities. It can be challenging to gain the trust of several clients on one project. What makes it easy is when everyone aligns and becomes a part of the process, which is what happened with the Goodings. Our objective was to create spaces that offered a serene and peaceful vibe. Steering the family down a path of gray away from the usual vibrant colors was not the easiest task, but it was nothing a few color swatches couldn’t resolve. Matching the paint to a unique paint job was the first step. The family understood the assignment and landed on the perfect grays with a subtle transition for an accent wall. Once the colors were locked down the shopping experience began with a few must haves on the list. We needed to blend the existing furniture into the overall design and procure an ottoman with storage as a high priority. Building off the two shades of gray and cornsilk-colored custom pieces was the design focus. While shopping commenced, we locked down our premiere painter, Tori, of L.A.B. painting. As always she and her 2 person women’s crew showed up and executed flawlessly. In 2 days they painted throughout the kitchen, dining nook, family room and stairwell. They blessed the spaces with their expertise from the ceiling to baseboards. Paint, Trim, and Crown Molding made these spaces feel like they were fit for a royal court - a King, his Queen and Princess! The design team arrived on Day 2 of painting with one task to complete for design readiness (Day 3). We removed 2 cabinet doors and cut and replaced the panels with glass, and installed in-cabinet lighting. On day 3, we arrived bright and early and 3 hours after prep and design we were ready for the client reveal! In the family room, we added new decor and panels, minimal wall art, a family photo gallery wall, pillows to flank the couch and coordinating side chairs, and an ottoman with flair and storage to anchor the entire space. The paint and new decor scheme offered a new and inviting feel of comfort and relaxation. In the dining nook, we added a few accessories and staged the kitchen to show off the new paint and wine bar space. The cabinet became a showcase display of the families glassware and we used the lighting for extra ambiance. The installed lights offer multiple color selections, so we chose a color that appealed to the Royal court - Purple! For an extra touch we added a bottle of wine that complimented the lighting color and blended with a charcuterie display. The new wine bar was equipped with pieces made from different natural woods and marble to create the perfect entertaining space! The ultimate goal was to create a whole new vibe for the home's primary living spaces. The family can now sit back relax, enjoy and entertain themselves or family and friends. We turned this family haven from Dim Den To Bright Zen! Gooding’s Family - thank you for entrusting Eye 4 ReDesign to turn your house into a home. We can’t wait to return for your next project! Special thanks for allowing us share photos and video of your experience. CLIENT REACTION! BEFORE PHOTOS AFTER PHOTOS
Eye 4 ReDesign has gone dockside! This project was a collaboration between four partners and a vision for a new restaurant venture. The goal was to change the whole vibe of the restaurant and bar to give it an upscale feel. The clients left the interior design solely up to us for the design concept. We started out with paint colors for the interior and exterior. We chose an interior color that matched the existing flooring. For the outside we wanted a color that screamed shore vibe. The door had to have a pop of color accent. The next step was to design the interior. To provide an experience from the door, we wanted to add a feature wall, so we requested the clients to add a wall to close off a room that would serve as a wait staff section. Another addition was to add a 3 foot wall to create a sitting area where customers could wait for a table or just chill while enjoying the ambience of the space and tie the two areas together. Since dockside was the theme, we wanted to create an atmosphere where the theme resonated throughout the space. The wall decor was centered around pieces that connected the space to the area from waterways. Touches of brass adorned the space to give it a nautical feel. We knew a wine wall would be the perfect backdrop for the bar area and would set the tone for some additional elegance in the space. Our Painter, Tori of LAB Painting and the other half of her 2-woman team were on point! They quoted 4.5 days to complete the project and they delivered! Cold breezy temps, with off-water wind pressure couldn’t stop this duo from getting the job done! They primed and painted the interior and painted the exterior transforming the look and feel. For the deck they provided pressure washing services. This set the tone for the design to come together. On design day, my team and I arrived with all the design items and decor to transform the space. First on the list was to install a feature wall with greenery, a custom hand painted wood sign signet and netting to give the feature wall a final touch. Social Media is a great marketing tool and having this at the door would provide a quick and easy way for customers to create a memory and share their experience. Next was the seating area that would become a fun casual space for customers to chill. The benches used in the seating area were not the right color (shade), but they were the right style and height to make the space functional. Thanks to Hilliard’s Painting for sanding the benches to show their natural beauty, so that they fit the decor and color scheme. In parallel to the setting up the seating area, the wine racks were installed. Lights were added to the wine racks to give them some extra flair. The final touch was to add the wall decor and dress the tables with black tablecloths, rustic lantern candle centerpieces and brass salt and pepper shakers. As a special touch we were able to present the clients with their first earned $1, as two locals dropped by looking for a drink and were able to oblige them with soft drinks from the cooler. They happily signed the $1 bill on request knowing they would be the first customers of this new establishment. We were happy to take on this major commercial project and we transformed this place from Dockside Drab to Dockside Fab! Special thanks to Opie & KD’s partners for entrusting us to complete this project! We are excited and can't wait for for the Grand Opening! Thank you for allowing us to share photos of this transformed commercial space. Check out the Before Photos: The Paint Process: Check out the after photos:
We were introduced to the Barlow’s through another Eye 4 ReDesign client and immediately fell in love with their infectious smiles and pleasing personalities. Tammy and Jeff were so welcoming and open to the process. First order of business was to change the yellow color on the walls. Tammy was no longer happy with the color scheme that was giving her nursery vibes, so we decided to carry the gray color through the adjacent spaces to match the updated kitchen for cohesiveness. It took a little convincing, but we knew it would look great against the white trim throughout the space and hallway. We completed the consultation, defined a budget and Eye 4 ReDesign went to work. Painting was first on the agenda so we brought in Tori of L-A-B Painting Services. She is a Paint-artist, which describes her paint style, free-hand painting and trim work - no tape, no drip, no mess, and the project looks like a work of art when she is done. Her paint jobs become the canvas of beautiful creations. Tori began this project promptly at 8am and 8 hours later she was leaving the project with two coats of paint on the walls, trim work and baseboards refinished. The clients were over the moon impressed with her work. These homeowners had a birthday party at their home the next day and everyone loved the new paint color and could not wait for the next phase of the design. The following weekend Eye 4 ReDesign returned and we installed 2 light fixtures and a ceiling fan to bring in the farmhouse chic look into the space. Next we installed the mantle in its new location adding warmth to the living space. We brought in the refinished farmhouse table restored by Hilliard’s Painting and new dining chairs to complete the dining set. As a replacement for the yellow swivel chairs, we brought in indigo blue chairs to compliment the existing sofa, area rug and new decor. These new chairs are not only comfortable and stylish, they are push back recliners, which provide even more versatility for the homeowners to sit back and relax. New furniture placement gave the room a cozy and warm feel! To round out the space we added a farmhouse table/ottoman with a wood base and upholstered top, which is a perfect option for entertaining/serving or additional seating. Next we reinstalled a clock and created the perfect entryway setting with an existing wall table and new decor. Adding decor to the now perfectly balanced areas was the final step. Colors, textures and textiles were staged to present the perfect flow throughout the spaces. Small details defined the new designed spaces to pull together a look and feel the homeowners could enjoy for years to come. It was a wonderful experience using a mix of the existing and new to give this home life-inspired spaces. Tammy and Jeff are amazing clients and we were happy to be a part of their home love-story! As Jeff often stated, “Happy Wife, Happy Life!” Tammy loved everything as shown in her client reaction! 😀 Eye 4 ReDesign nailed it! We added farmhouse chic flow to the Barlow’s Bungalow! Special thanks to: Ann C., for consulting on design ideas. Tori B, of L A B painting and Pressure Washing Services for the interior painting. Richard J., of Hilliard’s Painting for the dining table restoration, transport and assistance with installation of the lighting fixtures and ceiling fan. Darryl Sr., for being my partner in love and life and continuing to support my goals and dreams. Thank you for bringing my creative ideas to fruition, adding accents to my project, assembly of design pieces, transport and installation of the mantle, lighting fixtures and ceiling fan. CLIENTS' REACTION - PHASE 1 (PAINT) AND PHASE 2 (DESIGN)

I met Lacy and Matt about 3 years ago. They are such a fun loving and adventurous couple. Over time Lacy and I started sharing stories about our businesses. As life began to get more hectic, Lacy inquired further about my interior design services. Her home was already beautiful, warm and comfortable with a farmhouse vibe. This design project was all about the Master Bedroom Suite. Lacy wanted spaces that would flow with the rest of the home. The first thing we decided was to match the gray paint color she had throughout the rest of the house and freshen up the white baseboards and trim work. I met with Lacy to provide a couple of virtual options and we decided on her base color scheme and which items would remain in the room. We decided on gray and white with a minimalist style. We picked out new bedroom furniture that would compliment the new vision for the space. In the bathroom, Lacy wanted a barn door to replace her bi-fold doors. Based on the design of the bathroom a barn door track would not be an option. After a little research, I found a design that my team could use to reconstruct the bi-fold doors. My paint team went in to create the foundation for designing the rooms. Once the painting was completed, work on the bi-fold doors began. After hours of labor we had beautiful doors that transformed into a seamless look and feel of a barn door. The furniture was delivered a few weeks later and we scheduled the final interior design appointment. After a few hours of adding new decor, hanging framed pictures and wall art, installing a bay window rod and panels, creating a new bedding scape, flanking the bed and bathroom with new area rugs and adding a new shower curtain our focus was on the final delivery — installing the redesigned feature doors. With a few onsite cuts the doors were ready for install. The bifold doors that once provided angst based on location, look and feel were now a great accent in completing the bathroom design. The master bedroom suite was finally complete and Lacy and Matt have the perfect retreat. We are happy that we could add a final touch to their home, located on a nicely groomed property they deem, “Our little piece of Heaven”. In the words of Matt, this beautiful couple can now officially call this redesign, “Farmhouse Fancy”! Thank you to my design team who made this all possible. SPECIAL PROJECT: BI-FOLD TO BARN DOOR
Phase I - Exterior Front and Interior Design This project expanded my design portfolio to include exterior design. I have known this client for years. Previously, I helped him downsize from a 5k sq. ft. home to a 1k sq. ft home. Our goal in that project was to maximize the space. Since that time, I have helped him design three rental properties. We dedicated his first rental to honor his mother's wish of having me redesign her home. I paired a cool gray exterior paint with a bright yellow door to reflect her sunny disposition and personality in her honor. We added fresh paint, new flooring, and updates to the kitchen and bathroom in the interior. Fast forward to 2020, and we're celebrating the purchase of his new home. Our initial consultation spanned several interior and exterior areas, so I became a project manager for the various projects. Although this home was custom built by a previous buyer, I wanted to personalize the new buyer's residence. Week 1, after closing, I scheduled an excavator to cut down trees and limb up others to showcase the elevation of the home and backyard views. Next on the list was landscaping. I collaborated with a landscaper to provide a new and unique landscape design that didn't include the builder grade plants and shrubs seen around the neighborhood. As a multiphase project, we added plants and shrubs that complimented the home's exterior facing. Additionally, we redesigned the landscape beds, selecting the beds' appropriate rocks, and adding custom curbing to accentuate the newly formed shapes to coordinate with the home's brick. Yes, even the curbing is custom, as we had to mix seven different colors to get the right color combination. Next, I requested landscaping lights and uplighting for the home. We removed the wooden side gates leading to the backyard to extend the concrete driveway to the garage/workshop and RV parking area during this transformation. We completed the exterior redesign by ordering custom brick and iron gates to flank the home (coming soon). The interior was also a process, as we ripped out bedroom and stair carpets and selected wood flooring as a replacement. In parallel, I chose granite counters to accentuate the kitchen cabinets and flooring. Next, I picked a paint color that matched the existing paint in the home and refreshed the trim work. We refinished the stairs to match the new wood flooring! Once I envisioned the design for each space, I made complimentary furniture selections. Overall, I wanted the home to feel comfortable and maintain its large and airy flow. Accomplishing this goal put my skills to the test as I completed all of this VIRTUALLY! The vendors were amazing! We scheduled FaceTime appointments, and one by one, I checked the tasks off my list. The house was already beautifully designed. A few personal touches were all it needed to make it feel like a home. While all the various exterior and interior projects took place, my design stylist and I shopped for decor for each room. I wanted to incorporate the dining hutch, a family heirloom, so I used it in his lounge room as a display cabinet. This little design trick of repurposing furniture creates memories on top of memories! To add to the home's custom feel, we included the Frame TV to display artwork when not in use. Once all of the new furniture arrived, we scheduled the design delivery appointment. Three months after closing, we were ready for design day. My team and I arrived bright and early. We unloaded all of the decor and additional accent furniture, wall art, area rugs, etc. Hours later, we were ready to clean up with just a few personal touches remaining. On Day 2, early morning, we were prepared for the reveal. The client and his daughter arrived and were very happy with the results. One very special person received a real-time video tour reveal along with the client, and she loved it too! My team and I are so excited for this client and his new journey. After months of juggling appointments, contractors, and client consulting, this home is now "Custom from the Curb"'! Client Reaction Before Photos After Design Transformation Phase II The landscaper has completed the fall lawn treatment. We will see this client for Phase II, in the spring, when we complete the backyard landscaping and patio outdoor room redesign! We can't wait!
Thank you to my design team who made this all possible (Darryl, Ann and DJ)... 1,000+ miles and on to the next project! Special thanks for courtesy project design photos and videos, C. Lloyd, GA I had the pleasure of meeting Roz and Johnny at a client’s housewarming a year ago! They both expressed how much they loved the decor in the design project I had completed. We reconnected through a new project I was working on for another client who attended the same event. We had an initial consultation over the phone to discuss a potential family room redesign. We set an appointment for an in-person walkthrough and when we arrived at their home it was clear that the vision must include the beautiful views of the property! Entering the home I could envision the look and feel of the space. The sitting room adjacent to the kitchen is large in size, but still felt cozy and quaint. The room was filled with character and design elements that I love. The client asked if I thought she should change the upholstery on two chairs. I quickly responded with “No, I love the look”! I knew the client had been struggling to figure out what to do with the room, but in my head it was already done. I’m sure she could see the spark in my eyes. I love to mix patterns, textures and colors. One hour later this design project had expanded to painting four rooms, redesigning furniture and a redesign for two rooms. Eager to get started, I selected the paint colors on the spot. I chose colors that would brighten the spaces. Fitting to the property, we chose farmhouse as the design style. I knew the appropriate decor would add warmth and comfort to the rooms. I was so excited about the project that I put together a full plan for the sitting room before I arrived back home. My approach was to build off the elements in the room. I wanted the pillows to draw from patterns in the rug. Those beautiful plaid chairs had my adrenaline pumping, I knew the right plaid patterned drapes would be the showstopper. Trusting my instinct with some additional weigh in from my design stylist, we both agreed it was the way to go! This client has a love of floral patterns, so I helped her find the perfect modern balance to cozy up the family room space. I’m sure when I initially asked, how do you feel about cheetah, she was thinking, umm, how did we get here! Her response was very subtle, as she said I don’t think that’s me in a nice way. So, I waited until she finished her statement before I sent a photo of the floral/cheetah mix. As soon as she saw the photo, she said “Oh, I love that!” That was day one of you got this, proceed! It is always a defining moment when clients are willing to explore options! My team and I were ready to deliver once we procured the decor, ReDesigned furniture, and found the perfect side table to compliment the family room space. We arrived eager and ready to get to work. This project gave me life! It had all the components of a transformation. These clients were so great to work with and they expressed how much they love their ReDesigned spaces. They now have their “Farmhouse Design at Dover Creek”! Thanks to these wonderful clients for entrusting my team with restyling and antiquing their family heirlooms. May this newly designed furniture create many more cherished family moments! Special thanks for the courtesy project design photos and videos, Johnny and Roz W., Manakin-Sabot, VA See the Clients' Reactions:
While the homeowners await their reveal, Piper gives the "Seal of Approval" that this home is comfy and cozy and just what the family wanted! All it took was a nice blanket covering to make this space feel warm and inviting. Piper, is all for it! Before PhotosAfter Design TransformationIt is always a pleasure working with new clients. This is the story of a casual conversation that created a new and future client relationship. These clients were anxiously awaiting the arrival a sofa they selected to begin furnishing their new space. The sofa finally arrived and they paired it with an area rug and coffee table with centerpiece. As they started looking for additional decor they quickly began to feel overwhelmed about what to do next. They had an idea of the look and feel they wanted but could not figure out how to pull it together. I assured them, this is what I hear from most of my clients. After a quick phone consultation, I started selecting items to support their styling needs. We continued virtual touch base meetings to weigh in on new decor selections. Beginning with accent furniture, I selected a cute marble end table that would bring some unique flair to their space. I followed up with the perfect lamp to compliment furniture textures. I added wall art that brought in colors in the room and reflected both of their styling preferences (Abstract with a little bling). The final furniture selection for the room was a comfy accent chair to make the seating area feel complete. Once all of the foundational pieces were in place, I looked for personal touch items that would make their space feel like home. The client's expressed their love of affirmations. As I continued shopping, I quickly found items that spoke to me regarding the couple and what their space represents, phrases like, "You & Me", "Together We Make A Difference, "Love the Journey", "Love Gathers Here" and "Loves Grows Best in Little Houses Like Ours". These little personal touches added personality and warmth to the space. Finally, I had an in-person visit and helped the couple with styling and staging. I offered a few tips on how to define spaces and how to make a space feel welcoming, like facing the barstools in a "come sit on me position" - - Clients smile here 😀! On the kitchen island, I added place settings for dimension and a blue vase with flowers to give the space a pop of color. Lastly, I added wall art to draw eyes to the island area because this space has line of sight from the entryway. I shared my philosophy on how simple elements bring an exclusive look, touch, and feel to a design. After a virtual consultation, shopping and a 30 minute in person design visit this space was transformed into the "Contemporary Nest at Silver Collection" these clients desired!
Special thanks for courtesy project design photos, Ky & Kadera, Fredericksburg, VA Nancy just completed her whole home project and is still beaming from the results. She wanted her new home to be complete with an outdoor room. In this project we have the perfect backdrop with brick walls that align the patio giving it a courtyard feel. The backyard has beautifully lined trees that make it feel like a private oasis. Starting with a table and 4 chairs, we set out to make this outdoor area another place Nancy could cozy up and enjoy. We added an umbrella and decor to get it ready for entertaining. To provide more seating we selected the perfect-sized sectional with table and added matching decor with a yellow pop of color. The addition of personal touches like Lemonade, signage, candles, handmade napkin rings and a throw make it a warm and unique space. To ground the space we selected a nice area rug and flanked the sectional with topiary trees to provide more ambiance. We were so excited to see Nancy's reaction. Finishing off this area provided a wonderful new outdoor space for her to relax, refresh and renew. This space went from stark patio to Nancy's Haven! Special thanks courtesy design photos and video, Nancy S., VA See Nancy’s Reaction!I first met Nancy one year ago at a housewarming for another client. My interaction with her at the event left a lasting impression. She mentioned she was looking for a home and had an interest in contracting my services. I provided a business card, and that is where our story began. A year later, she found a house, and although she felt it was suitable for her needs, she still had not fully envisioned herself in the home. We had an initial conversation, and her bubbly and sassy personality was just what I remembered from our first encounter. We began to vibe immediately. She had one requirement: her comfortable black recliner was essential to the design. She quickly identified her style of choice as a "cottage" feel. After our initial conversation, I gathered some design selections to provide a cream and black color scheme. She asked if I would be adding a pop of color, and I suggested that black is a color, and greenery would be the added flair. Although she said okay, I knew it would take a bit more convincing.
I shared a few items with colors and fabrics that would give her the room's look and feel. We discussed a budget, and the planning began. I provided some furniture choices, and she began to feel at ease. She stated that "I got her," and she was confident that she could trust me to deliver what she was looking for in the design. At this point, she declared that she would sit back, relax, and let the Eye4ReDesign team do the rest. It was off to the races with less than one month to make this project come to life. This project was a designer's dream. It involved multiple shopping trips to find the best deals, redesign, and restyle with lots of love and sweat equity. To get the house ready for design day, I picked a rich color for the walls to make the whole home warm and inviting. I contracted out my favorite paint team, Hilliard's Painting, and they delivered on a short timeline. Each day we touched base, and she told me how the paint color made her fall in love with the house she had purchased more and more every day. Exactly one month from the day we first spoke, we were ready to execute the design. My team and I arrived promptly at 8 am, prepared to work. Nancy's excitement was through the roof! She went on her way, and we set out to provide her all that she had been seeking and more! She had just a few consults to confirm furniture choices, so she would be seeing the final vision with the paint, decor, and redesigned furniture for the first time. When Nancy arrived for her reveal, a welcome home wreath that I specifically designed for her project greeted her, and once she entered, words are not enough to describe her reaction. In her words, she was awestruck! The new homeowner tried to take it all in and needed a moment to pause and regroup. Nancy began to recognize some of the redesigned items, and she was so happy with the results. Room by room, she began to see all the special touches that had gone into the design. I could feel her love for the spaces. As we walked through the house, she stopped to touch fabrics and textures along the way. She was enamored with how well all the decor blended with the paint and her new carpet. She said it amazed her to see how the cream and black made the house feel so warm. Her favorite "black chair" was the catalyst for the color choices. Along with the chair we created a perfect blend of colors, styles, textures, and finishes to transform this house into a home. She now has her Cottage in Cobblestone! In this project, we redesigned our bargain finds: dining table, entertainment TV stand, and office credenza. Eye4ReDesign paired these items with new furnishings (sofa, dining chairs, kitchen buffet, office desk and chair) and decor, which allowed these pieces to blend perfectly in their new spaces. Fresh wall paint throughout the whole home to refresh, renew, and create a rich, warm feel, with new cabinet pulls in the kitchen as a special surprise (Thanks to my hubby for making this gift happen)! All of these new features created the perfect design for this Classy Chic Cottage! Congratulations Nancy! Special thanks to my design team (Darryl Sr., Ann and DJ)., and for courtesy project design photos, Nancy S., VA. |
